About Us
Artist House Bangkok Cafe & Art Workshop is an eco-cultural tourist attraction located in the Khlong Bang Luang community. Founded by Mr. Chumpol Akkapantanon, the house has been open to visitors for over 17 years. The structure itself is a 200-year-old, L-shaped, two-story wooden house built in the traditional Manila style. It is uniquely constructed around an ancient pagoda situated right in the center of the house, which is believed to be one of the four cardinal direction pagodas marking the boundaries of the 300-year-old Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak.
In the past, this property belonged to the Raksamruat family, a lineage of traditional goldsmiths. Today, the house has been carefully renovated while beautifully preserving its original historical structure. It has transformed into a destination that perfectly blends past heritage with the vibrant colors of contemporary art. The upper floor serves as an art gallery showcasing creative works and providing historical knowledge about the old riverside community. Meanwhile, the lower floor is thoughtfully divided into a cafe, a creative art workshop space, and a shop offering a wide variety of unique souvenirs.
